Advice Center
Back To What We Do
The Drop in Advice Centre helps Community Members to obtain what is rightfully theirs.  Winnie Mtwakwende, a Paralegal, identifies which grants/claims each client is entitled to and assists them in completing the necessary paperwork.  Perhaps the most valuable aspect of her job is in chasing departments and/or companies to move the claim forward expeditiously.

Some claims require legal input and are referred to our Trustee, Mr Peter Evennett.

Food Parcels:

THE  FOOD  PARCEL  JOURNEY – July 2014

Winnie, from the Hillcrest Advice Bureau and Bursary Fund (HAB&BF) is handling some desperate cases of clients unable to get disability grants despite having the necessary documentation from the doctors. We are presently providing 3 food parcels to these folk and deliver them to Winnie’s home in KwaNyuswa. One of the tertiary students from HAB&BF who is studying Librarianship battles to support her school going brother and sister and we give her a parcel which either she collects from the church or she intercepts us on our delivery to Molweni.
